Canberra Floriade 2025 – When and Where

The month-long festivities returned to Canberra from 13 September to 12 October 2025. The locals and tourists are invited to take part in these celebrations that are filled with entertainment, horticultural workshops, music, market traders, recreational activities, artistic displays, etc.

The beautiful landscape with open gardens and intricate floral displays has brought Commonwealth Park to life.

This festival usually begins when the spring season starts, usually from mid-September to mid-October annually. Australia’s biggest spring celebration is not something to miss. The entertainment and flower festival welcomes 400,000+ attendees annually to enjoy entertainment, live music, food stalls, artistic displays, live performances, and workshops like nature art journaling, photography, and flower arranging.

Floriade Theme 2025 – Science and Nature

So this year’s theme lets you dive into nature’s laboratory, transforming the park into a space of learning and discovery. The garden bed programs and designs draw their inspiration from various scientific fields, like botany, biology, chemistry, physics, and astronomy.

Among the spectacular displays, expect to see live performances, dance groups, choirs, and jazz ensembles.

Nightfest

Once the sun set, the after-dark extravaganza became next-level. DJs, live music, and comedians entertained the crowd, and the main highlight of the program were Fire Spectacular by Not Another Circus Troupe, Ella Hooper, and Josh Pyke.

Food Stalls

Whether you wish to quench your thirst or look for a satisfying meal if you’re famished, the festival has a myriad of food vendors scattered throughout.

Workshops

To make the festival even more interesting, they have introduced entertaining and attention-grabbing workshops led by science organizations and horticulturists.
